A 16-year-old is dead after he was lured to a Bronx apartment by a 17-year-old girl on Facebook, and then attacked by several men.

According to reports, Ricardo Romero showed up to the Creston Ave. apartment building in Fordham Heights, when a gang of men fatally stabbed him in the chest, hit him in the head with a bottle, and stole his wallet and cell phone.

Reports say that he stumbled out of the building, and collapsed on E. 182nd St., where a witness tried to help get him to the hospital, but was unfortunately too late.

The NY Daily News says that the attack has been captured by a surveillance camera, and one person named Christian Juarez has been charged with murder, robbery, and weapon possession, and is being held without bail.

Court papers revealed that Juarez said during questioning:

‘I was going through the victim’s pockets, then Skip pulled out a knife from his back pocket and stabbed him two to three times in the torso.’

Chiquita Andy, the girl on Facebook, told police that she encouraged Romero to escape just before the attack:

‘Christian had nothing to do with it,’ she told the court Saturday. ‘I told him to run. I ran.’

The incident was only supposed to be a planned robbery, and another man who was involved, named Christopher Garcia, revealed how he became part of the plan:

‘Christian came to me and asked me to help out with a robbery that him and his girl was going to do,’ he told officers. ‘I agreed to it no problem. I get dress(ed) and followed Christian to the apartment.’

We pray for Ricardo Romero’s loved ones during this difficult time.
