Breaking news: Rashida Jones is half black.
Now that’s out of the way, maybe we should have posted this before the SAG Awards on Sunday night, because our girl Rashida – daughter of legendary producer Quincy Jones – had to remind a reporter that she is a black person.
TNT’s red carpet correspondent Danielle Demski was completely taken aback by Rashida’s beautiful skin color, and asked if she had just come from a tropical island, because her tan was lovely.
It was an awkward comment to which Jones quickly responded, “I mean, you know, I’m ethnic.”
Rashida pulled off the rest of the interview without a hitch, because she’s a professional.
