Super Bowl XLIX was one hell of a game, and somehow the NFL’s most notorious team, the New England Patriots, pulled off the upset against defending champions the Seattle Seahawks.

While Tom Brady was deflating footballs and Marshawn Lynch was taking a break from “beast mode,” pop superstar Katy Perry performed a medley of her hit singles for this year’s halftime show. The “Dark Horse” singer’s performance included flamboyant costume choices, a cool 3D stage, an army of background dancers, an appearance by Lenny Kravitz, and a not-so-surprising “surprise” performance from hip-hop veteran Missy Elliott.

It’s been 10 years since Missy Elliott released an album, but the famed producer/artist didn’t miss a beat when she stepped out on stage. Missy performed a few fan favorites, including “Work It,” “Get Ur Freak On,” and “Lose Control.”
