Last night, all the talk on social media surrounded the season finale of Empire, and that excitement is reflected in the show’s ratings. The hip-hop family drama scored a 6.5 rating among adults ages 18-49 and 16.7 million total viewers, making it the best new series result in ten years. Congrats!

First, kids wanted to be Like Mike. Now, they’re going to want to Throw Like Mo’. Disney Channel is developing a biographical original movie that will tell the story of Mo’ne Davis, the first Little League player to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Davis will consult on the film, while Debra Martin Chase (The Cheetah Girls, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) will produce.

Davis released a statement sharing her excitement:

“There are so many great things happening to me right now and it’s a very exciting time in my life. A year ago, I never would have thought that Disney Channel would make a movie about me. I can’t wait to get started and I hope it will encourage other viewers to believe that dreams really do come true.”

C-SPAN’s audience received a good laugh when a call came in from the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” Witty viewer Jack Strickland called into a segment on Iran’s nuclear negotiations, and instead of offering his viewpoint on the political debate, Strickland identified himself as someone calling from Bel-Air, but actually from “West Philadelphia, specifically.”

Strickland managed to rap off a few more lines from the classic theme song before being cut off, his final words being, “I got in one little fight and my mom got scared, and said, ‘You’re moving in with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air.'”

Check out the hilarious encounter above, and kudos to the anchor for keeping a straight face throughout.

Furious 7 is set be released on April 3rd and at an advanced screening in Los Angeles, Vin Diesel greeted movie-goers and shared some touching words on the emotional film-making process and fallen co-star and friend, Paul Walker.

“This was a labor of love. It was in some ways the hardest movie I ever had to do. Because the relationships that you see on film are so real. When the tragedy happened, I lost my best friend. I lost my brother,” he said.

Diesel concluded the emotional speech by sharing his hope that the film will serve Walker’s legacy well.

“What can I say, guys. Thanks for being my family. Thanks for always taking care of us. Thanks for believing in us… Please know that we made this movie from our hearts, and know that this is our gift to you. And more importantly, it’s for my brother there. Let it be the legacy we know he deserves.”
