Justin Bieber, like Taylor Swift and Nick Jonas, used tonight’s MTV VMAs as a platform to drop new visuals.
Bieber premiered the video for his long-anticipated single “What Do You Mean?” at the awards. In the video, Justin’s bad-boy persona gets in the way of his girl’s safety, as the on-screen couple is ambushed at a motel artfully lit just so that Bieber’s cheekbones are fleeky as ever.
By the end, Bieber and his femme fatale free fall into a bouncy house to escape masked scary people. Was it all a bad trip, an imagined dream, or a parallel universe? Watch above and decide for yourself.
