With the arrival of King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude coming this Friday, Pusha T stopped by The Daily Show with Trevor Noah to debut a brand new track titled “Sunshine” featuring Jill Scott.
Pusha addresses the issues of police brutality, media propaganda, and classism on the politically charged record.
“Still a target, but the badge is the new noose/ Yeah, we all see it, but cellphones ain’t enough proof/ So we still lose,” raps Pusha.
Jill Scott follows up, singing, “It’s more and more and more than Baltimore/ From shore to shore, oh lord/ Patience torn, patience gone, oh lord.”
King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude will feature guest appearances from Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky, Timbaland, Q-Tip, J. Cole, Beanie Sigel, and The-Dream.
