W+K Tokyo Lab recreates the Nike into an aquarium for a goldfish by keeping the air in the soles but remolding the upper part in order to make it a translucent viewing case for the aquatic critter.  The finished product presents an interesting relationship between nature and athleticism.  Although most sporting conventions seem man-made, the aquarium shoe brings it back to square one putting the air in the ‘bubble’ part of the shoe providing air/life for the fish to swim in.
