It was once said that the only things that are certain in life is death and taxes. And while it is nearly impossible to evade death you can most certainly try to evade making your yearly tax payment to dear Uncle Sam until, well, death. For some of the celebrities mentioned in this post, that just may very well be what they do. Uncle Sam, though usually a reserved guy, gets really upset when he doesn’t get his money. He may let you a slide for a year or two but once your debt gets too high, he posts a list of his nieces and nephews most indebted to him on the internet in an effort to pressure them into paying up. Porn stars, rappers, athletes and housewives alike all owe him and he’d like his money NOW! Take a look at some of the celebrities whose lavish lifestyles are no tax write-off.

Lil’ Wayne just can’t seem to catch a break these days. He’s already doing a bid on Rikers Island for pleading guilty to gun charges last year. Now, Uncle Sam is after his pockets for $1.3 million owed for unreported income tax in 2004, 2005 and 2007. Though Lil’ Wayne has been known to chump Uncle Sam in the past, owing $977,840 in 2008, he pays up pretty quickly. The multi-platinum recording artist and CEO of Young Money/Cash Money records is sure to handle paying back this chump change when he’s released. That or Baby will probably be making a payment on his behalf shortly (if he hasn’t already).

Before we ever got any news that Wesley Snipes was evading yearly payments to Uncle Sam, he was entertaining us in hood classics such as Sugar Hill and New Jack City, action-packed films like Passenger 57 and U.S. Marshalls and the Blade trilogy. However, while Uncle Sam had been distracted by his great acting he snapped back to reality and filed claims of tax evasion, tax fraud, conspiracy and the $17 million dollars owed. Snipes’ tax trials began in January of 2008 and though he was found not guilty of fraud and conspiracy he has just been sentenced to 3 years of life behind the walls for misdemeanors related to not filing for the 1999-2004 tax years.

Pamela Anderson has done it all, literally. From Playboy to Baywatch and Dancing With The Stars. But what she didn’t do was pay her taxes. Ms. Anderson owes the state of California $493,000 for personal income tax. Shortly after Uncle Sam blasted her to the public, Anderson looked to Twitter to provide a brief explanation to her fans tweeting, ‘I’m not trying to avoid any tax obligation. Certain events occurred, outside of my control which caused this temporary and embarrassing situation.’

Mos Def owes a little more than $46,000 in back taxes. The rapper/crooner/actor received notice from Uncle Sam in 2009. We’re sure this multi-talented star will pay his debt off rather quickly as he is set to star in new HBO comedy series ‘Enlightened’ which
