Football players, alcohol, strippers and money is a bad combination. If you don’t know by now, Tennessee Titans quarterback,  Vince Young,  was caught up in an altercation at a strip called Club Onyx in Dallas, Texas. He got into a fight with the club owner and it seems as though ya boy Young got offended when the owner disrespected his beloved Texas Longhorns, Young’s, alma mater.

I am convinced that football players take too many hits to the head. Did Vince not learn anything from Adam “Pacman” Jones and Plaxico Burress? Vince is no stranger to the club scene. He has been photographed numerous times in clubs with his shirt off having a good time. When will NFL player’s understand that they bring this on themselves? It’s a shame because after last season Vince Young won back the Tennessee Titans fans by bringing the team back from a win-less season.

This situation could have turned deadly. In 2007, Broncos corner-back Darrent Williams was killed in a drive-by shooting after an argument at a nightclub. Williams’s limousine was sprayed with bullets in downtown Denver. NFL athletes need to think about their careers and lives when they are in confrontational situations. It’s always better to walk away and not be baited into something you might later regret.

Young was issued a Class C assault citation today, which carries up to a $500 fine. Vince can pay that off no problem, but NFL commissioner Roger Goodell doesn’t play when it comes to altercations in night clubs. Remember Plaxico Burress and Adam “Pacman” Jones?

Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones the one time star corner-back for the Tennessee Titans got into a scuffle in 2007 at a Las Vegas strip club during NBA All-Star weekend. At the strip club ya boy Jones was ‘making it rain’ by throwing money in the air, and Jones became angry when one of the dancers began taking the money without his permission. He allegedly grabbed her by her hair and slammed her head on the stage. A scuffle ensued between Jones camp and security at the club. As a result, Roger Goodell suspended Jones for the entire 2007 season. Currently, Adam Jones is not in the league and his career is possibly over.

Plaxico Burress the New York Giants star wide receiver and 2008 Super Bowl hero, shot himself in November of 2008. Plaxico got his accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the right thigh in the New York City nightclub, LQ. His Glock pistol, which was tucked in the waistband of his black jeans, began sliding down his leg. Apparently,
