“Little Miss Sunshine” as once affectionally called by Jay Z found a way onto our ipods, radios, blog topics, and television screens. If you have not figured out who I am talking about yet, it is Rihanna. Yes “Little Miss Sunshine Rihanna where you at?” has been everywhere this summer. While her current album has not done as great as Good Girl Gone Bad she still has managed to tour, release countless singles, get more tattoos, oh and snag a cute baseball player too. It does seem that “That Rihanna Reign just won’t let up.” While I will agree that quoting parts of her songs are corny one cannot help but see that she’s living up to some of those sayings. She is no longer “little miss sunshine” but she is a certifiable tattooed rock star. Have you seen some of her risque outfits that she used for her tour? The hair cuts and hair color? oh, and most importantly the tattoos? The newest one is on her neck and means flower rebellious. A neck tattoo on a guy can imply toughness, coolness, sexiness, roughness or all of the above. A neck tattoo on a female especially someone of Rihanna’s caliber implies the following: I can do what I want, when I want, how I want, and still look great doing so. While the majority of us have to worry about covering up tattoos or choosing not to get them because of job opportunities, Ms. Flower Rebellious will still continue to grace magazine covers, date the hottest guys, wear the hottest clothes, and sing satisfactorily on the records that we all will do our own little two step to. She is right about one thing her reign will not let up anytime soon. She recently landed her first movie role, has plans to release a new album, and will continue to be a hot topic on all blogs. While she is in high demand currently one cannot help but think, when her star begins to fade (which happens to every artist at a point in his/her career) will she still be able to grab our attention? How many hair colors, tattoos, outfits, and cute guys can one indulge in before fans start to get bored? Whatever the case is we will all have to wait and see, who knows, maybe her acting skills may give Halle Berry a run for her money (I am thinking of the best scenario, you must at least try and give her the benefit of the doubt.) Either way I will be tuning in the question is will you?
