The Jersey Shore cast was rumored to have been on strike due to salary negotiations for a third season. Each cast member received $5,000 an episode for the first season and were then bumped up to $10,000 an episode for the second season and believe it or not, these lucky average Joes-turned superstars have now signed contracts yesterday for a third season at $30,000 an episode.

As TMZ first reported, the Jersey Shore cast refused to go ahead with an upcoming season until MTV gave them better contracts. SallyAnn Salsano, executive producer of the show, told TMZ they are ‘committed to the show’ and ‘ready to go.’

The Situation’s manager, Michael Petolino told popeater.com, ‘Mike has been packed and ready to go for days for ‘Jersey Shore 3′ and is excited to move forward with the shooting.’ He also added, ‘The Situation has always been respected and well liked by the entire cast. He felt that he could break the stalemate by putting these rumors of a cast strike to rest by moving forward and leading the cast to another hit season.’

MTV released a statement yesterday as the entire cast minus Angelina signed on for the third season, ‘MTV is pleased that the Jersey Shore cast are returning to Seaside Heights to continue production on Season 3. Not only have they become a part of the MTV family, but fans worldwide have fallen in love with them. Stay tuned for ‘Jersey Shore’ Season 2 on July 29th.’

Am I the only one who can’t wait for this? We don’t just have one more season of this crazy show to look forward to, but two. Lucky us.
