Thomas Magil, 22 years old, survived a suicide attempt Tuesday morning when he jumped from the 39th floor of a West Side high rise and crashed through the windshield of a sports car, landing in the backseat and the trunk area, twisted like a pretzel. It’s amazing that he is even alive! Witnesses say they saw Thomas falling feet first at 100mph. He hit the car so hard that the Ked shoes he was wearing were knocked off his feet. Thomas was rushed to the hospital after the fall, and is now in stable condition after undergoing surgery for his two broken legs. Family and friends of Thomas’s are shocked that he would attempt to commit suicide because he seemed to be “so happy and joyful”. His Facebook page showed otherwise, however, with status saying “I hate my life” and quotes like “I’m over it” under his bio. Magil studied music at Fordham University and was once listed as a resident of the building, which is located at 75 West End Ave., West End Towers.
