When the phrase ‘Hip Hop Is Dead’ started being said it hurt New York the most, Especially coming from a Ny artist. When rapper Nas came out with the song ‘Hip Hop Is Dead’ it almost validated that the Hip Hop industry was falling to pieces. When you think of the word Hip Hop you think of the state of NY where all the most famous artist are from or live. There are plenty of talented rappers from other states but since Hip Hop was started in the South Bronx its only right to say we started it & made it hot.

It seems like ever since Artist like Master P, Lil Wayne, T.I. & more came & brought their talents to the game Ny was slowing losing Hip Hop. There was a point where if you were a Ny rapper you couldn’t be touched. That was until Rappers like Lil Wayne proved him self to be the best rapper alive. With exception of artist like Jay Z, Fabolous, & a couple more Ny rap hasn’t been the same. We used to be the number 1 crown holders when it came to Hip Hop, But now it just looks like were taking the back seat to other regions or trying to copy them.

We are very happy to say that today New York rap is making a comeback. I was searching the internet to put up new music for all you lovely people when I came up on these videos. When I saw the name The Lost Boyz in a post today I automatically thought it was a new group trying to steal the legendary groups names. It wasn’t, It was the actual Lost Boyz back in full affect with their new video ‘Haay’. There was also a new Onyx video & Fat Joe record. Are these the right ingredients to get NY back on the right track? Check them out & leave comments.
