President Barack Obama did it again, two victories in the same week, first his overhaul on health care reform and now student aid. The Student Aid Bill was passed by the Senate 56-43, this bill will result in savings to boost Pell Grants and make it easier for some workers to repay their student loans. In addition, some borrowers could see lower interest rates and higher approval rates on student loans. This is the biggest overhaul of college assistance programs in forty years. It strips banks of their role as middlemen in federal student loans and puts the government in charge. This is a dope move, it will make it easier and more affordable for students to go to college lessen the amount they have to take out of their pockets.
