In today’s music scene the producer is the big draw. ‘Super-Producers’ like Dr. Dre and Pharell are bigger stars than most emcees, and have managed to parlay the notoriety they gained as producers into other business ventures. There are always a gang of new producers bubbling under, waiting on that one hit to take them to mega-producer status. Just look at Lex Luger – after the success of  Rick Ross‘ ‘Blowin’ Money Fast’ and Waka Flocka Flame‘s ‘Hard In Da Paint’, the 19-year old has become the hottest producer the game has seen in a while, working with everyone from Fabolous to Kanye West. Here is a look at 10 of the most promising young  producers in the game right now.

Producer: Araabmuzik

Has Worked With: Cam’Ron, Busta Rhymes, Vado, Cassidy

Why He’s One To Look Out For: Not only is Araab a beast on the MPC (check out this video of him creating beats live), he has a very unique aesthetic and sound. It’s an extremely modern take on the classic, ‘grimey’ New York sound – his compositions are filled with eerie strings, noisy samples, somber pianos, nightmarish loops and skittering drums. Araab sound could be described as a mix between The Alchemist and Swizz Beatz, but honestly he’s carving out his own distinctive niche, which is the halmark of a great producer.

Producer: Droop-E

Has Worked With: E-40, Turf Talk, Keak Da Sneak

Why He’s One To Look Out For: Check his pedigree. Droop-E is the son of Bay Area legend E-40, and has been producing since he was a teenager. That means beats that slap are in his DNA, and as his production on E-40’s latest double album Revenue Retrievin’ (and Droop’s own Black Diamond Life EP) proves, he knows how . While commercial success often eludes them the Bay Area has one of the best music scenes, and Droop-E is one of it’s brightest stars.
