I get hit with a lot of music. I mean a lot. Most of the time it’s random hits, but lately I’ve been getting sure fire suggestions from people I trust. Here is a quick rundown of the standouts I’ve got my eyes and ears on.

Adad
Co-sign: Amanda Diva
Location: Chicago
While checking the link for the show I did hosted by Amanda called The Spark, I wondered on to a video she posted where she shouted out this dude Adad. I take her shoutout seriously as she put me on to a group called Hollyweerd a few years ago that I think is amazing. This choice is different though. The way this guy rhymes and rides beats can change the game. After a bit of Google searching I found his Myspace page and an interview he did with the crazy cat below. I trust that you’ll  like him too.

Danny Brown
Co-sign: Hexmurda
Location: Detroit
Danny is a rap machine. He spits lyrics so hard and steady you’d think they were straight from the good book. His dead center flow and depiction of ghetto strife is Nas like when he catches the groove and locks in. I’ve been listening to his mixtapes for years as my man Trav (former Dip Set A&R) used to help Danny get known in NYC. Now with the backing of Hip-Hop’s most hated (and he probably hates you back) Hexmurda, Danny will now be in your iPod on repeat. His debut album Hybrid can be downloaded here.
