The British graffiti artist and political activist known as Banksy directed the infamous opening credits of the long-running animated series ‘The Simpsons‘ last night–and the result was a far cry from the original’s funny couch scene.

Banksy, who is known for his dark humor graffiti done with a stencilling technique, depicts an unsettling portrait of Asian laborers working on ‘Simpsons‘ animation and merchandise in a kind of underground lair/sweatshop. There’s even a dying unicorn whose horn is used to bunch the hole through thousands of ‘Simpsons’ DVDs.

In typical Banksy fashion, the opening is oddly humorous, while still being very unsettling and providing distinct commentary about social problems.
