New details about Lorenzen Wright’s untimely death are being unearthed each day. Authorities speculated that the former NBA player may have committed suicide when his body was found just days ago. However, it has now become clear that Wright was murdered, and it is suspected that his death may have been a result of his connection with Memphis drug lord, Craig Petties.
Court documents about Lorenzen Wright’s dealings with one of Petties’ associates have been released. Wright is said to have sold four automobiles to Bobby Cole in 2008. Cole had already been indicted on drug charges in Atlanta and was on the FBI’s radar. Police are now conducting investigations to determine whether Wright’s previous dealings with Petties’ associate may have resulted in his death.
