While Wonder Woman’s epic costume redesign is big news, the Amazon heroine has switched clothes, but not complexions. But that may be changing soon.

Music superstar Beyonce piqued movie studios’ interest last year when she said that she wanted to be the first black Wonder Woman.

Movie studios are looking far and wide for the latest talent to transform comic book super heroes into feature-length films. With the success of ‘Spider-Man’ and ‘The X-Men’ and lastly, ‘Iron Man,’ Marvel Comics has struck movie gold while their historic counterpart, DC Comics, has stuck with Superman. But that could change with Bey as Wonder Woman.

“It would be great,” she said at the time. “And it would be a very bold choice. A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It’s time for that, right?”
