It’s been a long time since we’ve heard new music from Cee-lo as a solo artist. A lot of this could be credited to the success of his group Gnarls Barkley with New York producer Danger Mouse. ‘Georgia’ is the first single off Cee Lo’s album Lady Killers. The song pays some soulful homage to his hometown of Georgia. Cee Lo’s album will feature some tracks from a previous work he did with LA producer Jack Splash. Cee Lo was to release an album with the producer entitled Heart Attack but the soul singer moved on to do other projects. Now that he is back on the music scene some of these songs are getting the light of day. Hopefully the release of Lady Killers is fast approaching and ‘Georgia’ is just a small piece of what’s to come.
