Being a new artist who grew my fan base through 100% grassroots marketing, under-the-radar college shows and smaller venues, I have had the opportunity to perform and travel all over the country lately, something which has undoubtedly influenced my music and sound. Over the past few months, I’ve played sets at various venues big and small, from Denver and Boulder, Colorado, to New York City and LA, and my goal has been to hopefully fuel them with an energy that’s unparalleled in performance today.

Artists and DJ’s like Bassnectar, A-trak, Jay-Z, Kanye, NaS, Wiz Khalifa, Rusko, and Pretty Lights have opened my eyes to new aspects of live shows. I’m always trying to be an energized and passionate performer, I’ve been lucky to see firsthand how that impacts everyone in the crowd.

With that said, being able to cross genres certainly boosts the energy and interest that fans have for the music. If one song didn’t ‘tickle their fancy,’ hopefully the next one will.

Many live acts that stick to or pertain to one genre in my opinion often are bland and less invigorating. My music has been described as a blend of rap, hip hop, electronic, dubstep and dance music; which are all huge influences of mine. Some people say I look like a kid in a candy store when I’m on stage, and honestly….that’s how I feel.

My set lists transition from upbeat rap, to up-tempo dance music, with a heavy dependence on crowd interaction. Most fans know my lyrics, so at big venues it’s like singing a song with a sea of people following my lead. It’s a toss up at every show which song will be the crowd favorite…but I usually have an idea once the show has started.

The new sound equipped with Euro drops, breaks and an electric spin on hip hop, is one in which you could never classify as one distinct style or genre, I’m all over the place!
