Overzealous police officers are some of the most dangerous people you can ever encounter. Aiyana Jones died because the police officers that charged into the house looking for a homicide suspect were charged up and amped by camera crews who were filming the raid for A&E’s crime show ‘The First 48,”. Police brutality, excessive force are all words to describe officers behavior when a tragedy like this happens, remember that Jay-Z line? “Shoot first asks questions last”. Seems that this is what’s going on now.

From Oscar Grant being shot to death by an Oakland BART police officer on a train platform, to NYPD trigger happy detectives shooting down Sean Bell on the streets of Queens NY the night before his wedding, it’s evident that officers are careless at times when it comes to human life. In the case of Sean Bell the detectives were reportedly drinking before the shooting, in the case of Aiyana Jones the officers were excited and their guns accidentally went off. Is this human era or excessive force? Are their tactics wrong? Do these officers need more training? What needs to be done to stop these officers from crossing the line and ending another life? What needs to be done so we don’t have another Sean Bell, Oscar Grant and Aiyana Jones?
