What’s up Global Grind!  It’s ya girl Julissa Bermudez.  As we enter a beautiful weekend here in New York City, I wanted to make sure you all knew a few places that could spice up your weekend.  These are my favorite Latin hotspots to grab some great food, enjoy a nice drink and maybe even dance the night away.  Hope you all have a wonderful wekeend!

Pio Pio Restaurant:
Several locations
This is the place for expertly seasoned Peruvian-style rotisserie chicken! If you want a great fresh and fast meal this is where u want to go! Plus their Sangria will creep up on you and leave u wantingmore! 🙂

Sofrito Restaurant:
If you love live music or want to catch the game while enjoying a great tasting typical puertorican dish this is the place for u! That’s right u can hang by the bar and enjoy whatever sport is in season or sit in the dining room and be entertained as u chow down on your tostones rellenos (which are to die for!)

Barrio Chino:
Barrio Chino (which translates into China town) is one of the places your glad you’ve stumbled across (there isn’t a sign out front) the perfect fit for a particular part of LES (Lower East Side) since it’s located right where Chinatown and Latino communities intersect. The main draw here is definitely the drinks! With over 50 kinds of Tequila! Shots anyone? Why not each shot comes with a peppery sangrita chaser. The house drinks are just as great (personally love their mojitos) and to absorb it all go with the chicken tacos! I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!:)

If you love Asian fusion then this ‘Chino Latino’ (Latin american/chinese) mix will satisfy your palette. Cozy ambiance, Great food (especially the roast chicken! That’s one of the most popular dishes) Plus the drinks are good too!
