Last night I had the pleasure of covering B.E.T’s Rip The Runway at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. I arrived at about 5:30pm to meet one of the producers of the show, and pick up my ticket. As I met my BET connect she handed me an envelop and inside I found a ‘VIP Balcony Ticket’. We hugged, chatted and I promised to take her out to lunch for looking out for GlobalGrind. As I was ushered inside I was immediately taken aback by two things, the huge turn out and the amazing floor layout. I thought BET did an amazing job with the theme of the show.

As the crowd sang along the screams got louder, fans anticipated the apperance of NIKKI MINAJ, and then she bounced onto the stage, uproar ensued…
Then there was the beautiful Estelle who looked amazing in a black Gavin Douglas cocktail dress. She performed in the designer’s set.
Hosts for the show, actor Pooch Hall and Nikki Minaj came to the stage to do the intro and talk to the audience.
Then Trina hit the stage…Umm, her outfit was very ‘Diamond Princess’ to say the least. The crowd went crazy for her.
After Trina got the crowd extra hype, Soulja Boy came out to sing a song that was pretty INTERESTING. All I can remember is the chant ‘All the way turnt upppppp!!’ They had to perform this song three ti
