Whatsup Global Grinders? It’s been awhile since I last blogged. It’s been the start of a crazy summer for me. I just thought I’d catch up with you GG-ers! Right now, I’m in New York getting ready to go to the premiere event of celebrity photographers (MY ALL TIME FAVORITE) Markus Klinko and Indrani’s show Double Exposure on Bravo TV, where they shoot some of the hottest people in Hollywood. Very excited! (Make sure you watch the second episode of Double Exposure next Tuesday). I’m also headed on some crazy adventures in the city, going to see some of the most prestigious modeling agencies in the business, and meeting up with some girls from Top Model. I’m headed back to Tyra headquarters for an update! Wish me luck and stay tuned for my blog next week on Markus Klinko & Indrani’s Double Exposure premiere and my experience in NYC.
But before business is pleasure ;). I just had the wonderful privilege to go to Jamaica Jumpoff with my cousin and radio/tv personality, Claudia Jordan (You might recognize her from Deal or No Deal as sexy case #1, or perhaps from The Foxxhole Radio Show with Jamie Foxx). For a straight five days (well four for me since I missed my flight lol), we had a BLAST on Montego Bay at the beautiful Iberostar Grand Rose Hall Hotel, celebrating radio personality Lorenzo Ice-T Thomas’s birthday with some of the most ambitious and successful people from all over.
This trip that has taken place during the summer every year for the past 9 years includes a trip, food and drinks ALL inclusive, with awesome beach/pool parties, guest performances, and a whole bunch of fun in the sun, lazy lounging on the beach. This year Jamaica Jumpoff was blessed with a performance by DC’s own J. Holiday. The girls and I got to hang out with him after his performance. He was super cool -and a good dancer lol ;). The next night was a performance by Raheem Davaughn followed by another night of partying.
Besides the wonderful endless amounts of food and drink, great performances and mingling with the stars, we got to also mingle with the locals at clubs in the area (Pier 1 was my fave). The trip, so very well organized, was a BLAST! With the beach, the sun, and all the wonderful people I met, I definitely didn’t want to leave, however, I got to leave with some new friends and a KILLER tan. I’m definitely going next year!
Despite all the fun I was having, I managed to fit in an awesome photoshoot with a great photographer in Jamaica. Check me out in these behind the scenes pics! I put on my sexy face.
Needless to say, Jamaica Jumpoff was just what I needed before headed here to the busyness of New York. I miss prancing around in my bathing suit but we’ll see what NY has in store for me this week. To be continued 😉
Shoutout to everyone from Jamaica Jumpoff! And a big THANK YOU & HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Lorenzo
