This video gives the viewer a very personal look at Janelle Monáe and it focuses on the raw emotions evoked from her lyrics. While the song tempo is a bit more upbeat, this video features none of Janelle Monáe’s signature dancing. In fact, this video is more reminscent of the D’Angelo ‘Untitled (How Does It Feel)’ video.
