It’s only one verse — a reference track originally slated to appear on Bun B’s album, Trill OG — but what J. Cole does in his brief bars is pretty hot. Not to mention the smooth instrumental the North Carolinian rapper spits over is produced by him too.
Once J. Cole’s verse is over, let the track ride out. This is pyschedelic instrumentation at it’s finest, with the strumming guitar chords, harmonious flutes and the sneaky funk of the song’s bass line, ‘Bun B For President’ is an unfinished cut that leaves you wanting more. Hopefully Bun will see the love internet hip-hop fans have for this track and will decide to this track’s unfinished business.
Oh, and we too would endorse Bun B for President.
