This is just so wrong.

A brand new app hit the iPhone and Android app stores, and no, it doesn’t have anything to do with angry birds or social media. Instead, the “Angry Trayvon” app is interested in mocking a slain 17-year-old boy.

The app portrays a black male character, wearing a hoodie and attacking people with weapons on the street. Obviously this is downright disrespectful towards Trayvon Martin, who was shot to death last February, and his family.

However, the creator of this app, Trade Digital Inc., doesn’t see the problem. They said the app concentrates on a “world tour of revenge on bad guys.”

I mean, really? With the George Zimmerman case still going on, this is last thing the Martin family, or anyone else, needs right now.

The app is still being sold on Google Play for $1.99, but no longer appears in the Apple store. We were able to take a screenshot before it was taken down.

Earlier this morning, this message was posted on the “Angry Trayvon” Facebook page:

Sorry for the inconvenience as this was just an action game for entertainment. This was by no means a racist game. Nonetheless, it was removed as will this page and anything associated with the game will be removed.

The game was updated on July 8, 2013, but has been available since last Christmas.
