Talia Joy Castellano, a little girl who gave thousands a glimmer of courage with her inspirational YouTube vlogs, her cosmic knowledge of cosmetics and striking makeup tutorials, sadly lost her 6-year-long battle with cancer Tuesday, dying at the tender age of 13.

On Tuesday, an emotional message appeared on the teen’s Facebook page announcing her death:

‪#‎prayfortalia‬ It is with a heavy heart that we share with all of you that Talia has earned her wings at 11:22am. Please lift her beautiful soul, her beautiful light to heaven and please send your love and prayers to her family during this most difficult time. God speed little one, may you be free from pain and suffering, may your soul feel the light and love that you brought to so many of us on this Earth during the short time you were her with us. We will miss you more than you will ever know baby girl.

Through her love for makeup, the charismatic teen courageously fought two forms of aggressive cancers: neuroblastoma and preleukemia. After losing her hair to chemotherapy, she began referring to “makeup as her wig” and often colorfully imprinted the phrase on the side of her head.

Through her YouTube channel, which has garnered over 750,000 subscribers, she shared her adoration for cosmetics with tutorials reminiscent of top makeup artists and remarkable how-to vids on creating a dramatic smoky eye and her memorable no mirror makeup challenge.

In memorium of Talia, we’d like to take a look back at the much loved YouTube videos from the courageous young beauty:

Alongside her love for cosmetics, she also shared an adoration of fashion:

It’s SO hard to watch this last video of Talia, as she confidently talks about her dreadful battle with cancer.

In an interview with The Truth 365, when asked how she would like to be remembered, Talia was quoted saying:

“In a hundred years, I would like to be remembered as the bubbly girl who wanted to do something about childhood cancer.”

Rest in Peace Talia, our dear angel.
