Former President George H.W. Bush shaved his head in solidarity with a two-year-old leukemia patient named Patrick.
Patrick is the son of a man named Jon, a member of Bush’s Secret Service detail, and Bush was not the only man to shave his head in support of the youngster, other members of Bush’s Secret Service did as well.
Moreover, members of the Bush Protective Detail launched a website and organized the “Inaugural Patrick’s Pals Motorcycle Benefit” in Maine to help raise funds to pay for Patrick’s expensive medical bills.
Bush and his wife Barbara have a personal connection to Patrick and his fight with this disease as their daughter, Robin, passed away from leukemia 60 years ago when she was only four-years-old.
