Oprah Winfrey’s television network OWN has renewed Tyler Perry’s original TV series Love Thy Neighbor for 26 more episodes!

The cable network made the announcement just before airing the series finale Wednesday evening. The show is set to return in January 2014. But Love Thy Neighbor isn’t the only Tyler Perry series getting some love from Oprah. OWN has also requested four more episodes of Perry’s scripted drama The Haves and Have Nots.

Love Thy Neighbor is a scripted comedy set in a family-run diner. The sassy head of the family Hattie Mae Love, played by Patrice Lovely, steals the show each episode. Between managing the diner and her family’s drama, she’s got a lot on her plate, but still manages to bring the laughs.

The show debuted in May 2013. Since then, the series has had an average viewership of more than 1 million and a 0.88 rating among OWN’s core demographic, which is women between the ages of 25 and 54. The show is Wednesday night’s top original series among black audiences.

The 26-episode renewal of Love Thy Neighbor comes after news broke that The Haves and Have Nots was picked up for 16 more episodes. That show also continues to rise in popularity with a 1.76 rating amongst OWN’s core demographic.

OWN also recently acquired the first 45 episodes of Tyler Perry’s TBS comedy For Better or Worse and plan to produce a third season of the show. That show will slide into Love Thy Neighbor‘s 9 p.m. Wednesday time slot September 18.

Congrats, Tyler!
