The 40th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards

Betty White has had a pretty awesome – and super long – television career.

For 74 years, Betty has been bringing the laughs to viewers everywhere and her hilarity has not gone unnoticed. Betty’s won countless awards for her roles on TV. So how do you honor a woman who’s won every award out there? You give her a spot in the Guinness Book Of World Records, obviously.

Betty has done just about everything TV-wise. She’s won tons of accolades, starred in iconic shows like The Golden Girls and The Mary Tyler Moore Show, she currently stars in a hilarious series on TV Land called Hot In Cleveland, and she even once had a hidden camera prank show. Did we mention that she was the oldest person to have hosted Saturday Night Live?

Guinness has taken notice of Betty and her badass career and they’ve decided to honor her with a spot in the record books. Betty has been selected for the honor of “Longest TV Career for an Entertainer (Female).” White appeared on the scene in 1939 and has been hard at work ever since.

“I was astounded when Guinness World Records called to tell me. Who? Me?!? It’s such an honor. The book has always been fascinating to me. I can’t believe I’m now associated with it,” Betty said. She also added a little bit of advice for newcomers in the acting world. She said they should “do their homework and take the time to appreciate their profession. It is a privilege to do what we do.”

We can only hope to have her hustle when we’re 91.

White is in good company. AMC’s hit series Breaking Bad also landed a spot in the book for “Highest-Rated TV Series.”

The Guinness World Records 2014 edition will be available in stores September 12.
