BCBG and I are the same age, but I haven’t quite pinpointed my personal style as well as BCBG Max Azria has pegged their signature looks. Following rumors of financial issues plaguing the brand, they returned to the runway to display an airy floral looks and reconstructed men’s woven shirts for their Spring/ Summer 2014 collection, much to the delight of the absolute packed house.

The models strutted the runway to a slowed down rendition of the song of the summer “Get Lucky” as they showed off the Spring/ Summer 2014 collection. According to the designers, they delved into the archives for this collection. The pair, who on the brink of celebrating their quater of a century, said they looked for inspiration by delving into the archives of their former designs. The pair told Style.com “Our design approach has always been about deconstructing and reconstructing garments.”

Trends spotted: Crop tops, Billowy chiffons, Menswear re-invented, whites, pastel blues.
Faces in the front row:  Guliana Ranic, Stylist Monica Rose, George Kotsiopoulos, Jamie Chung, Cara Santana,  Jesse Metcalfe, Aimee Song, Heidi Klum My rating: BCBG is always one of my favorite ready-to-wear shows of the season, but this collection seems to be a bit lackluster with far fewer looks than the usual. The colors were refreshing as summer and spring colors should be, but my favorite part of the looks were the cape-back, crop top, and re-invented button downs. My favorite look: The black and floral cutout tank with the leather vest below.
