The sunshine of late summer is still basking over Lincoln Center in New York City, but what happens when the lights dim and the runway illuminates is so far removed from the crisp of fall biting into the early mornings.

On Day 4 of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Custo Barcelona had spectators longing for the renewal of spring, or at least a tropical vacation, when punchy prints, jacquard skirts, lace dresses and Aztec-inspired embroidery hit the runway during the designer’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection.

Before the plastic on the runway came up, GlobalGrind’s Makho was behind the scenes at the fashion show that saw front row dwellers ranging from June Ambrose to Jay Manuel. She got us all the scoop on the inspiration behind the makeup looks, a first look at the designs before they hit the models, and of course, she brought our cameras along for the style ride!

Check out the exclusive footage from the Custo Barcelona show above, and take a closer look at what Custo Barcelona means when they say more-is-more, with stills from the runway below.
