Try not to cry reading this sweet story.
When Karen Suffern asked her 8-year-old son to write a letter to Santa with his Christmas wishes, she wasn’t expecting this. She discovered that Ryan, who originally wanted a remote control car, was actually hoping for much more for his twin sister, Amber.
It reads:
“Dear Santa … I wanted a (remote control) car and helicopter, but I don’t want that anymor. Kid at school are still picking on Amber and its not fair. I prayed that they will stop but god is bisy and needs your help.”
He continued:
“Is it against the rules to give gift early?”
And then he asked Santa for the greatest gift of all for his favorite sister.
“Can you ask Big Time Rush to come to Amber’s birthday party? It will make her so happy. If you can’t get them to come, but just get her everything she asks for. Thanks, Santa,”
His mother, who definitely promised not to open the letter addressed to Santa, was touched.
“Ryan handed me his and told me not to read it so of course I read it to find out what he wanted,” Suffern said. “That’s when I realized and thought, ‘Oh, my gosh.’”
A few days after Ryan’s sweet letter went viral, he and his family were invited to Good Morning America and Amber shared a few of the really cruel things the kids say to her at school.
“They say I’m fat. I’m stupid. I’m ugly. And I’m hideous. I don’t really believe them,” Amber said of the bullying.
And when Ryan said that he wishes the kids would pick on him instead, this is what happened:
“You don’t have to do that,” Amber said.
“Yes, I do,” he protested.
Oh yeah, she totally got to meet the Big Time Rush Band that day.
Talk about a tearjerker.
