Ladies and gentlemen, Rick Owens has changed the fashion game forever.

Yesterday, during what will now be known as one of the most epic fashion shows of all time, Rick Owens broke every single “traditional” runway rule, when he enlisted the skill set of four groups of nearly all-black U.S. college students, of variable shapes and sizes, to display his Spring/Summer 2014 collection during Paris Fashion Week.

Rather than tapping thin models with calculated walks, Owens recruited competitive step teams to perform an elaborate show in color waves of blacks, whites, beiges and tans – on-trend with what we have been seeing for the spring on runways from New York to Milan.

The 11-minute performance was full of chest slappin’, foot stomping precision, as the teams donned Rick Owens’ sneaker collabo with Adidas for the performance.

With a call for diversity on the runway, this was a refreshing sight, but alas, the haters will hate. Here is just a small taste of the hate spewing on the internet following the video release of the show.

::sigh:: Can’t we just appreciate the art?
