The Steubenville rape trial that gripped the nation earlier this year may be over, but the case is far from solved.

Months after two teenage football players from Steubenville High School in Ohio were convicted of raping a 16-year-old girl last year, a grand jury is indicting the daughter of a school employee who is accused of obstructing the rape investigation.

Hanna Rhinaman, 20, was indicted on two counts of receiving stolen property and one count of grand theft, according to Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine. A few weeks ago, her father, William Rhinaman, was indicted on charges of obstruction of justice, evidence tampering and perjury.

The 14-person grand jury is examining whether additional crimes were committed during the investigation into the rape of the teenage girl.

The charges occurred when she was an employee of Steubenville City Schools. However, the charges are separate and unrelated to the previous indictment issued against her father, William Rhinaman, on October 7.

If the younger Rhinaman is convicted on all counts, she could be serve up to three years in prison.

Trent Mays, 17, and Ma’lik Richmond, 16, the two young men convicted of the assault, were sentenced to at least a year in juvenile prison. Mays is serving an additional year for photographing the underage girl.
