Kim Kardashian stopped by The Tonight Show last night to sit down with Jay Leno for an exclusive on-air interview. The newly svelte star talked about her pregnancy weight gain, her new post-baby bod, wedding plans and her beautiful baby girl North West.
Wearing a see-through and curve-hugging white lace dress, Kimmy K was even asked about her recent sexy selfie, saying for her, the photo was a “big middle finger to the world on everyone that called me fat.” Though she kept a brave face and tight lips, Kardashian revealed the digs at her weight cut deeper than we knew.
“It really hurt my soul,” she said. “It changed how I am in the public a little bit. I would go out and there would just be photos of me anytime I was hungry and these stories where I was like 200 pounds.”
Packing on the pounds during her pregnancy wasn’t just hard on her mentally. Kim says “it was the greatest challenge of my life to have gained 50 pounds.”
Kim has overcome the obstacle, shedding every pound of baby weight and reemerging looking better than ever! Regardless, she says the criticism has made her “live more of a private life.”
“Why would I subject myself to so much negativity? Especially now that I have a daughter. I just don’t need that energy. I rather be in a happy place, when I’m home,” she says.
Kim and Leno’s interview moved in a happier direction as Kardashian gushed about her hubby-to-be Kanye West and her gorgeous 15-carat diamond ring. Kim says Kanye “did really good” with the ring and describes the night of their engagement as the “most magical night” of her life.
As she’s mentioned previously, the two have yet to begin planning their wedding. Kim revealed that planning would start as soon as Yeezy wraps up his Yeezus tour – and she’s going to let ‘Ye take the lead.
As of now, Kim could only confirm that her stepfather Bruce Jenner will walk her down the aisle and she will most likely be taking her man’s last name.
“My daughter has the last name West and we’re a family,” she says. “So I want it to definitely be West.”
Though mama Kim didn’t bring any new photos of her precious baby girl, she did provide a little update.
“She’s the sweetest little girl. She never cries. She’s a perfect little angel,” she said proudly. “I hope she grows up to be smart and opinionated like her dad.”
