A disgusting rape joke that suggests women should be appreciative of their attacker has apparently gone viral and is destroying our faith in humanity.
Brought to light by Tumblr user Amy Brown after her boyfriend showed her a screenshot of the tweet on Reddit, the “joke” (which you can read above) has been shared thousands of times. And according to The Daily Dot, only about half of those retweets are individuals protesting the joke.
Scary.
But this affirmation that the tweet somehow holds some truth is even scarier:
