Last night, the “red carpet” was transformed into a concrete catwalk New York City-style, as some of the industry’s favorite ladies stepped out to celebrate Glamour Magazine’s Women of The Year Awards at Carnegie Hall in Manhattan.

During the event, 12 women were honored, including Lady Gaga and 16-year-old activist Malala Yousafzai. In her acceptance speech, Lady Gaga said, “If I could forfeit my Glamour cover, I would give it to Malala.” Gaga may look a little crazy, but that woman’s mind is sound.

Things were pretty demure on the red carpet, with beauties like Lily Collins, who just happens to be our new style crush, Lena Dunham, Iman, Rose Byrne, and more. In addition to the notable faces that walked the red carpet, the night also honored Gabby Giffords, Catherine Martin, Kerry Washington, Liya Kebede, Christy Turlington Burns, Natalie Massenet, Carissa Moore, Barbra Streisand, and Melinda Gates.

Check out the photos below to see who wore what to celebrate Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards.

America Ferrera showed off her figure in a simple black dress with zippered details.

It’s been a while since we’ve absolutely adored Lena Dunham in something, but this see-through checkered dress has broken the spell. A little cinch at the waist would have made this a perfect fit.

Iman played up a simple black ‘fit with over the top accessories and colorful pumps, but we could have done without the earrings stealing the spotlight from the necklace.

Lily Collins brought her A-game once again in a Julien Macdonald number from the designer’s Spring 2014 collection. The dress featured a plunging sheer front adorned with gold twig-like embellishments.

Rose Byrne looked dazzling in a strapless Jonathan Saunders Fall 2013 red dress.

Karlie Kloss played up silver embellishments with a high split and weather appropriate long sleeves.

Lady Gaga was an interesting sight in all white Thom Browne, played up with face paint and a platinum wig.

Malala Yousafzai was the star of the night, as she came armed with a compassionate speech and was the apple of everyone’s eye.
