Ladies and Gents, it is at long last time to celebrate all these movies we’ve been talking about all year; award season is upon us.
W Magazine is celebrating the season of accolades with the stars of some of the hottest movies of the season including Jennifer Lawrence, Matthew McConaughey, Amy Adams, Lupita Nyong’o, Cate Blanchett and Oprah Winfrey who are all featured on separate covers of W magazine’s Movie Issue, out on newsstands now.
The issue, who honors the year’s biggest stars, is the first time Jennifer Lawrence’s new pixie cut has taken on a magazine cover, and she looks just as bit sultry as she did with long locks, but in the corresponding interview, she was her charming self as she spoke about her fall at the Oscars last year.
“I was at the Oscars, waiting to hear if my name was called, and I kept thinking, Cakewalk, cakewalk, cakewalk. I thought, Why is ‘cakewalk’ stuck in my head? And then, as I started to walk up the stairs and the fabric from my dress tucked under my feet, I realized my stylist had told me, ‘Kick, walk, kick, walk.’ You are supposed to kick the dress out while you walk, and I totally forgot because I was thinking about cake! And that’s why I fell.”
