A Florida man was sentenced to 14 years in prison after tricking his girlfriend into taking an abortion pill in May. Last year, John Andrew Welden and Remee Jo Lee were expecting their first child. After Welden demanded Lee terminate her pregnancy, she refused. The medical student then tricked her by giving her a Cytotec while she was sick. During his sentencing, Welden apologized to the court and his former girlfriend. [Daily News]

An Indian female politician and activist claims that the reason for the high amount of rape in India is due to women’s behavior and how they dress. “Rapes take place also because of a woman’s clothes, her behaviour and her presence at inappropriate places,” she said. Samantha Lamb, 41, is now regretting the decision that saved her husband’s life.“I would definitely go through the operation again –- but I wouldn’t give the kidney to him. I hate him.
