I used to cop in Harlem, all of my Dominicano’s

Right there up on Broadway, pull me back to that McDonald’s

Took it to my stashbox, 560 State St.

One of the most epic anthems in the last decade of New York City history is undoubtedly “New York State of Mind” by Jay Z and Alicia Keys, in which he spits the bars above. Later, in a documentary to celebrate the opening of the Barclays Center, Jay Z returned to the address to peer at the Barclays from his old place of wheelin’ and dealin’.

And now, in a real example of gentrification, the apartment where Jay Z used to store drugs during his dealing days has been put on the market – and the former stash spot is going for an entire $870,000.

The listing on Zillow reads:

The 1900-era apartment building itself underwent a rehab in 2005, when this unit first sold for $598,014. But the 1,000-square-foot unit has come back on the market with a list price of $870,000.

The unit is a duplex has two bedrooms upstairs and a large, open living area on the main floor. There are 6 over-sized windows and 10-foot ceilings. It also comes with air-conditioning — an amenity that was not there back in Jay Z’s day.

You got the ends to spend? Check out some photos from inside the apartment over at Zillow.
