R&B singer/songwriter Jarell Perry releases “Black Valentine” just in time for next week’s romantic holiday.
The track, full of heavy breathing and layered vocals, includes Jarell belting the lyrics, “I don’t wanna die without you, baby. Just say you’ll be mine,” while pleading with his lover to be his Black Valentine.
For music lovers who miss “old school R&B” that isn’t all about strip clubs and raunchy sexcapades, “Black Valentine” is sure to fulfill your musical needs. It is also perfect to dedicate to your lover this upcoming Valentine’s Day.
“Black Valentine” is off Jarell’s upcoming EP, White, which he spoke to us about last month. White will be released later this month digitally. It is produced by DJ HSVN and the two are currently on tour with Malaysian singer Yuna. They will also be at SXSW next month premiering new music from the EP.
