Usher will be returning to The Voice this season with a very special guest – his close friend, Jill Scott.

According to EXTRA, when the show returns February 24, Jill will be featured as a mentor on team Usher.

“That’s my secret weapon, incredible, as a writer, as a musician, as an actress, all those elements really help to prepare artists,” he told EXTRA’s Renee Bargh.

“When Usher calls, you take the call,” Jill added.

Though the show hasn’t returned yet, the new mentor already has a little advice for contestants:

“Listen to your gut, follow your heart and it will lead you somewhere special,” she said.

In movie news, you won’t believe the new practice actors and film studios are using and how much they’re being paid to do it.

Shooting a movie can be time-consuming and generally takes an actor off the market for an extended period of time. In an effort to solve this problem, numerous actors and actresses are “boarding” scenes. This means they jet to their shooting location for a short period of time or until all of their scenes are complete, get paid and head back home.

For producers, “boarding” means they can book A-listers without having to pay their full quote right away. It also makes big actors more likely to accept non-starring roles in films – just as long as they get flown in and out quickly and get that paycheck.

“Boarding is basically a way of, for lack of a better word, mailing it in,” says an agent.

Because of “boarding,” Johnny Depp recently slashed his hefty price tag of $20 million to appear in the upcoming Disney musical Into The Woods. Depp was boarded for a week on set in London and paid $1 million for his work, sources say. Depp’s decision allowed the film, which only had a budget of $40 million total, to be greenlit for production and allows his representatives to keep his quote in tact.

That’s not all that poppin’ in the Hollywood Hills! We’ve got an exclusive first look at Al Pacino’s latest film for you. Pacino landed a role in David Gordon Green’s Manglehorn. The film follows an eccentric man, played by Pacino, who is trying to come to terms with a crime he committed in the past that cost him the love of his life.

Check out Pacino in character above. The movie also stars Holly Hunter, Chris Messina and Harmony Korine.

Congratulations are in order! Victoria Secret model Doutzen Kroes announced early this morning that she is pregnant with her second child.

To share the happy news, Kroes posted a nude photo, baring her baby bump to the world via Instagram. The cat-walkin’ mama covered up with one hand and held her growing bump with the other in the gorgeous black and white shot.

“This is not a #throwbackthursday this is now! So happy to share with you that we are expecting,” she wrote.

The 29-year-old and her DJ husband, Sunnery James, already have a three-year-old son names Phyllon.
