It feels like we’ve been waiting since the beginning of awards season for the Oscars red carpet…oh, wait, we have. After pouring over predictions of who would wear what, being obsessed with Lupita Nyong’o (a full-time task in itself) and covering all the smaller red carpets, the big red carpet has been rolled up, and now it is time to dissect all of our favorite looks.
Undoubtedly, Lupita’s appearance was one of the most anticipated of the season, as she has yet to meet a hue of the rainbow she cannot conquer. But for tonight, she gave ROYGBIV the middle finger and created her own blue for the red carpet, something she called “Nairobi Blue.” The dress was a custom designed collaboration with Prada, and of course, gained a spot on our best dressed list.
