Trick Daddy was arrested on Thursday night after deputies found cocaine and a handgun in his home.
The Miami rapper, whose real name is Maurice Young, was taken into custody around 10 p.m., booked, and later released on bond.
According to NBC Miami:
The Broward County Drug Task Force had a “sniff warrant” to search the home and stopped Young as he was leaving in his car.
Young admitted he had powder cocaine in the home and maybe marijuana roaches but no grow house, the affidavit said.
When deputies searched the home, they found 1g of powder that field tested positive for cocaine, the affidavit said. A 9mm Sig Sauer and a box of ammunition were also found in the home, the affidavit said.
Trick Daddy admitted to deputies that he was a convicted felon. He was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of cocaine and driving with a suspended license.
