Some things really do get better with age–wine, cheese, Oprah Winfrey.

Even though she just turned 60 in January, the media mogul is showing no signs of slowing down on her latest cover of O, The Oprah Magazine. For the upcoming May issue, she’s giving all these young girls a run for the money, serving a lot of leg and looking like true TV royalty in a purple Carms Couture Designs by Vicky Tiel dress and SJP Collection heels.

The theme of the issue is “How to Love the Skin You’re In,” and Oprah opens about her age, saying:

“I’m not one to get hung up on numbers but if you want to say 60 is the new 40, I’ll take that. You can be and do whatever you want, thanks to exercise and hair color. Hair color: the greatest invention of all time for women. Thank you, Miss Clairol.”

While some women usually dread getting older and the effects that come with it, it’s something she’s come to accept and even appreciate:

“The absolute best part is being to be free and do whatever you want. There’s nothing better than that….The hardest part is really recognizing the time that you’ve wasted and the things that you worried about that really didn’t matter. You regret the time that was wasted.”

What a woman of wisdom. Read what else she has to say in the issue once it hits stands later this month.
