Her name is Kate Mara, and she’s becoming one to watch, on and off the screen.
Older sister to actress Rooney Mara, Kate plays overzealous journalist Zoe Barnes of the Netflix hit series. Until then, she’s had smaller roles, but for her next big role, she’ll be staring alongside Johnny Depp in the upcoming sci-fi thriller Transcendence.
Last night, she attended the movie’s Los Angeles premiere and completely upstaged Johnny by stealing the spotlight in a Valentino sequin-embellished silk dress from the Pre-Fall 2014 collection.
With her locks pulled back, she kept her makeup simple yet added some extra sparkle in Jimmy Choo sandals.
She’s been dubbed by Marie Claire as one of five Hollywood “it girls” in the company of Lupita Nyong’o, Elle Fanning, Elizabeth Olsen and Emilia Clarke, all of whom will be getting their own magazine cover next month. Get used to seeing the 31-year-old actress shine on the silver screen, too. Kate will be playing Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman in the next Fantastic Four sequel with Michael B. Jordan.
The movie won’t hit theaters until next summer, so for now, let’s get another look at those dazzling shoes.
