Hundreds gathered for a chic luncheon at Cleo, a staple in the L.A. restaurant industry, for the unveiling of Shepard Fairey’s Limited Edition Hennessy V.S. bottle.
Guests were greeted at the door with delicious cocktails, compliments of Hennessy. The cocktails, aptly named Hennessy Revolution, were created with Fairey in mind.
While guests drank and dined, Shepard initiated a conversation which gave a little insight into the inspiration behind his collaboration with the popular liquor brand. During his talk, Shepard took questions from guests about his design and even offered his insights on the state of popular art today. He looked back on his trip to Cognac, France where he learned just how much goes into making Hennessy and compared the brand’s dedication to quality to his own craft. Shepard’s design paid homage to the great artists who collaborated with Hennessy before him and did his best to draw parallels between his brand and Hennessy’s.
Hours later, Hennessy shut down Hollywood Boulevard for the official launch of Shepard’s limited edition bottle. There were DJs, live performances, and plenty of artfully crafted drinks flowing all night long.
